Warranty

When selling used or refurbished equipment, it is necessary to provide the customer some level of assurance that the vehicle they are buying is free from major defects and is safe to operate. Therefore, Betten Trucks, Inc., offers its used and refurbished equipment in “trade package condition.” Typically, this covers items such as the engine, transmission, drive shaft, and rear axle (known collectively as the power train), as well as tires, brakes, glass, body damage, and bay door locking mechanisms. Different types of vehicles have different trade package conditions, which are fully described as follows:

Trade Package Conditions

Tractors:

• Power train is guaranteed to be sound.
• Glass is not broken.
• Body damage does not exceed $250.
• Tires and brake linings will pass DOT inspection.

Trucks:

• Power train is guaranteed to be sound.
• Glass is not broken.
• Body damage does not exceed $250.
• Tires and brake linings will pass DOT inspection.
• Doors and locking mechanisms are fully functional.

Trailers:

• Frame, kingpin, and axle are sound.
• Tires and brake linings will pass DOT inspection.
• Doors and locking mechanisms are fully functional.

30-Day 50/50 Warranty

Betten Trucks, Inc., also offers its used and refurbished powered equipment (i.e., vehicles with engines) with a 30-day 50/50 warranty. This means that for the first 30 days following the delivery of the vehicle to the customer, Betten Trucks, Inc., and the customer will share equally in any repairs to the power train. However, the customer must obtain the approval of Betten Trucks Inc., prior to initiating any covered repair work.
